Job Description

As a Brokerage Representative III, you will play a vital role in customs clearance processes, ensuring timely and accurate handling of international shipments. You’ll assess fees, confirm declarations, and liaise with various stakeholders to guarantee smooth operations. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your expertise in customs operations and make a meaningful impact in a global organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess duties, taxes, and brokerage fees for imported goods.
  • Ensure compliance with local Customs and Revenue Agency regulations.
  • Communicate with customers regarding brokerage-related inquiries.
  • Input and validate data from customer files, including credit and invoicing information.
  • Collect necessary documentation from customers, drivers, and customs offices.
  • Resolve customer profile discrepancies.
  • Address standard questions and requests from customers, drivers, and other offices.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners, including clients, carriers, and inbound agents.
  • Identify and pursue business opportunities.
  • Maintain productivity and ensure timely, error-free processing of information.
  • Adhere to operational guidelines and promote cross-selling.
  • Provide support and assistance to team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent (preferred).
  • 2-4 years of experience in customs operations (required).
  • Customs Specialist (CCS) certification (preferred).
  • Brokerage certification (preferred).
  • Previous call center experience (preferred).
  • Proficiency in French (90%) and English (10%).
  • Strong knowledge of customs laws, regulations, and the HS system.
  • Familiarity with CUSMA and permit processes.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.

Work Schedule

  • Days: Monday to Friday (must be available all 5 days).
  • Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (flexibility required).
  • Location: 23 Bd de l’Aéroport, Bromont, QC J2L 1A3.
