Key Responsibilities

As an Associate Assurance Consultant, your main responsibilities will include:

• Expertise Development: Collaborate with internal teams, partners, and customers to strengthen security assurance and compliance programs.
• Compliance Solutions: Design innovative strategies to help customers move sensitive workloads to the cloud securely and efficiently.
• Risk Management: Conduct deep-dive discussions, strategic presentations, and hands-on demonstrations to resolve compliance and risk-related challenges.
• Customer Engagement: Support clients in achieving compliance objectives while operating securely in the AWS Cloud.
• Insight Sharing: Communicate customer feedback to AWS engineering and business teams to influence technology development.
• Travel: Occasional travel to customer sites as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you’ll need the following qualifications:

Basic Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in IT security, compliance, risk management, or data privacy.
• Familiarity with compliance standards like PCI DSS, ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR, and NIST frameworks.
• Proven experience in enterprise risk management.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in security assessments and IT system audits.
• Knowledge of Agile, CI/CD, and DevOps methodologies.
• Strong strategic thinking and technical problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.

Work Schedule and Locations

• Work Schedule: Full-time, flexible work hours to support a healthy work-life balance.
• Locations: This position offers flexibility, with the option to work from AWS offices or remotely, depending on the project and customer needs. Occasional travel to client locations may be required.
