Job Description

As a Senior Firmware Engineer, you’ll design and implement firmware for embedded controllers, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless integration with hardware and software. You’ll play a crucial role in supporting hardware development and providing technical guidance to vendors and partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver Embedded Controller firmware for notebooks.
• Integrate EC firmware with other platform components.
• Provide technical support to EC chip vendors and OEMs/ODMs.
• Collaborate with hardware teams on architecture and schematics.
• Develop testing tools and automation with QA/Test architects.
• Create documentation and collaterals for EC vendors and partners.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience: 5+ years in firmware development, preferably in embedded systems.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and familiarity with ARM architecture.
• Experience in low-level interfaces (GPIO, I2C, SPI, PCIe, JTAG).
• Strong debugging skills in embedded Linux environments and scripting experience in Python.
• Excellent teamwork, communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Zephyr OS and Arm embedded architecture.
• Familiarity with supporting Windows on Arm platforms.

• Base Salary: $148,000 – $276,000 (varies by location and experience).
