Job Description
As a Senior Firmware Engineer, you’ll design and implement firmware for embedded controllers, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless integration with hardware and software. You’ll play a crucial role in supporting hardware development and providing technical guidance to vendors and partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver Embedded Controller firmware for notebooks.
- Integrate EC firmware with other platform components.
- Provide technical support to EC chip vendors and OEMs/ODMs.
- Collaborate with hardware teams on architecture and schematics.
- Develop testing tools and automation with QA/Test architects.
- Create documentation and collaterals for EC vendors and partners.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years in firmware development, preferably in embedded systems.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and familiarity with ARM architecture.
- Experience in low-level interfaces (GPIO, I2C, SPI, PCIe, JTAG).
- Strong debugging skills in embedded Linux environments and scripting experience in Python.
- Excellent teamwork, communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Zephyr OS and Arm embedded architecture.
- Familiarity with supporting Windows on Arm platforms.

- Base Salary: $148,000 – $276,000 (varies by location and experience).
