Job Description

As a Product Manager for Hardware and Vehicle Accessories, you will take charge of a product roadmap across multiple Tesla vehicle models. Your role involves market research, customer feedback, and competitive analysis to inform engineering and product development. You’ll partner with internal stakeholders, including Design, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations teams, ensuring seamless product launches and superior customer experiences.

In this multi-faceted role, you’ll also manage the full product lifecycle, from prototyping and design release to production ramp and ongoing performance analysis. Ultimately, your mission is to deliver high-quality, innovative products that align with Tesla’s vision and delight our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a robust product roadmap for various hardware products across vehicle models.
  • Conduct market research, gather customer feedback, and analyze competitors to build market and product requirements.
  • Collaborate with Engineering teams on prototyping, design release, validation, and production ramp.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including Legal, Finance, and Service, to ensure seamless product delivery.
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain teams to source and configure manufacturers that meet product and compliance requirements.
  • Launch and maintain products on the Tesla Shop, managing all release and administrative workstreams.
  • Define key metrics to assess customer satisfaction and product performance.
  • Continuously improve business platforms, workflows, and processes for operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in product management or development, with a proven track record of shipping high-quality products.
  • Exceptional project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and pivot quickly when needed.
  • Strong customer focus, turning insights into impactful product features.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias for action and initiative.
  • Proficiency in using data and metrics for decision-making.
  • Excellent communication skills, both technical and non-technical, tailored to various stakeholders.
