Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Vision: Develop and communicate a strategic vision aligned with company objectives, market trends, and local business needs. Guide your team to execute operational and merchandising plans effectively.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and develop management and hourly associates in a dynamic environment. Address recruitment challenges, high turnover, and engagement issues by mentoring, succession planning, and performance evaluations.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure adherence to company policies and legal regulations. Oversee safety protocols, asset protection, and quality assurance standards.
  • Community Engagement: Represent Walmart in the local community by spearheading outreach programs, fostering relationships with key stakeholders, and supporting sustainability efforts.
  • Financial Management: Drive facility performance by setting sales and profit goals, controlling expenses, and analyzing economic trends. Create and manage budgets, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Cultivate a customer-focused culture by resolving complaints, ensuring merchandise is well-presented, and maintaining competitive pricing.

Candidate Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years of general management experience (including financial accountability) and 4 years of supervisory experience with at least 50 nonexempt and 5 exempt associates, OR
    • 4 years of general management experience with the same supervisory requirements.
  • For facilities selling firearms, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training.
  • Associates must complete all job-required trainings and assessments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership (Live Better U program).
  • Experience as a Store Manager in high-volume retail or grocery environments.
